Choreographer and Artistic Director of the academy, Jenani Kumar is a renowned Bharatha Natya teacher in the South Asian Community.

She started her extensive training under the tutelage of Narthana Virthaki Smt. Padmini Anand. Along with Bharathanatyam, Jenani Kumar has also been a part of countless Dance Drama’s taking lead roles. Out of passion for Bharatha Natyam, she had founded the Shilompoli Shethra Dance Academy in Canada in the year 1994 with the intention of sharing her knowledge with dedicated students from various backgrounds.
