DIWALI - Festival of Lights
DIWALI - traditionally known as Deepawali - is the Hindu festival of lights, usually lasting five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika (between mid-October and mid-November).
One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual
"victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."
Diwali is the largest community festival and celebration of culture & heritage.
Diwali is celebrated worldwide by Sikhs, Punjabis, Gujaratis, Jains, Buddhists, Tamils, Nepalis, Sri Lankans, and East Indians. Diwali is celebrated to mark the homecoming of Lord Rama after his jubilant victory over demons.
Diwali RazzMatazz (DRZMZ) is organized annually in Oct/Nov by Indo-Canada Arts Council, a Canadian not-for-profit organization. Conceptualized in 2014, DRZMZ is going to host the 7th Diwali festival from Oct 17 to Nov 15, 2020.
